An inmate has escaped from the Blue Ridge Regional Jail on Clay Street in Lynchburg.
Larry Wayne Dodson Jr., 20, escaped from a recreation yard shortly after 10 this morning, said Elton Blackstock, director of the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.
Dodson was serving a seven-year, four-month sentence for grand larceny, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and the addition of a suspended sentence. He is from Southerland.
“We are exploring several leads,” Blackstock said.

They can't even provide a single picture or even a description of what he looks like? Police can provide time lapsed pictures of abducted children to provide you an estimate of what they will look like x years since they were abducted, but they cant provide a picture or a description of a renegade inmate? How am I supposed to know who he is unless he's wearing stereotypical jail clothing?

Stuff like that encourages me to post more. It's like the doubters mentality the Ben Wallace era Pistons had - everytime someone doubted them it fueled them more to prove them wrong.
So I've concluded one of three things: (1) people on here haven't realized that, (2) they somehow enjoy reading what I write, or (3) you guys will miss me if I leave.

My Dad works at the Jail, he said the inmates knew who escaped before they gave out his name to everyone there because this guy has been talking about escaping for a while

He really did: they showed a video clip of the
sheets on the news tonight. It looked like a series of square knots (don't know if the guy was a Boy Scout or not, but the guys knows his knots).

I don't understand trying to escape with a sentence of 7 years. I could only imagine how bad it would suck to be in there longer than a day but still its not like hes in there for 20 or life.

Trying to understand the logic of most people who end up with felony charges is just asking for a headache. Save yourself the cost of some ibuprofen and stop.
