Madison Academy's new head football coach brings a distinct title to the job.
Dr. Robert Burton, president of the Huntsville private school, said Dr. Eric Cohu will be the Mustangs football coach. He replaces Matt Clouser, who resigned following his fifth season with the team.
"I am very excited to get to Huntsville and start going to work, and I'm looking forward to becoming acclimated with the players and the Madison Academy community quickly,'' said Cohu, who was picked among a field of 25 applicants.

I'll hold my tongue on this one. I hate to see him go though.

????
He's also served as football coach at Liberty Christian Academy, where he led the team to a 21-1 two-year record and a state Division I championship in 2007.

Well, he is/was a coach there. Just not the head coach.

The article makes it seem like he was THE coach. Nonetheless...congrats to him. It sounds like a good opportunity.

How long did the good Dr. teach at LU? Was he a good professor?

He's been here three years if I'm not mistaken. He's consistently gotten better every year that he's been here.

Jon's right. You have to think that somebody with the level of experience that he has it would be a matter of time before he gets another shot at a head job. Ive enjoyed having him for classes and will miss him. Is he at least gonna finish the semester?

Congrats to Coach! I know he had been wanting to be a H.C again. He is heading down next week during spring break but is coming back to finish the semester at LU. Hands down was my favorite teacher!

I enjoyed having him for 304 and 306. You could tell by the way he taught the football class that deep down inside the desire to be the man running things never left even when he was assisting at LCA.

Just shoot yourself now if that's the case.

For what it's worth, Cohu confirmed this report in class.
