Last time I checked, the Caps are making a ton of money right now.

If you consider a ton of money being ranked #26 in the NHL as far as team value by Forbes....your apparently trying to be the next Stanford or Madoff selling that bull.....

If you are gonna fight some one, you better change your picture back to the hard tattoo, it sets of a more thuggalishes tone.

There are also a lot of clubs that rent out the Karate places after hours that are good and will strictly train MMA...that's a good way to save some money but still get a black belt instructor for training

actually Jim, as of 6:45 last night I AM fighting. they had somebody pull out at 170 and needed a fighter. I'm only at 162.5 and this guy is gonna make weight tonight at 170 and has to be at 175 or below tomorrow, but the long and short of it is im fighting.
yes, im giving up 12.5 lbs, but im in shape (was already training for a fight in Bristol 4 weeks from now), won't be sitting in a sauna for 2.5 hrs this time and don't have a messed up hip. so you can expect the first round of my November fight x 3.
at any rate, from what i understand, the guy im fighting cut 13 lbs down to 169, hasn't fought before, but has some wrestling and boxing experience. so, we'll see what happens. I expect to wear him down in the first and finish him in the second. if i can take him down in the first, theres a good chance he won't make it past the first 3 min.
oh, and one more thing. saw a pic of this cat last night and he looks HUGE! apparently he's always in the gym pumping iron so he'll be really strong, but whether that translates into cardio or not remains to be seen. the photo i saw of him was at easily 190 and he looked shredded. oh and he's 6'0 so he has an inch of reach on me.
should be entertaining. hopefully team RAM is goin 7-0 tomorrow. (which is REALLY tough b/c with a 50% chance of losing, the odds of going 7-0 are 1/(2 to the 7th power). fortunately, i think we have an 85% chance of going 7-0, because our program is that good. lot of variables, but it should be a good night.

Good to see you in again Matshark!! If anyone is interested - check out the intro video preview on our website - www.efcfights.com.
This event has picked up some steam. We have sold 10 times the tickets in advance compared to EFC2 and we are actually getting a lot of Buzz going. WSET is running a story tonight at 11:00 and News & Advance is covering the action tomorrow night. We expect to have even better fights at EFC3 and if you were at EFC2 - you would find that hard to believe, but we have some pretty big MMA schools from 3 states represented this time.
Hope some of you can come out and see for yourself.
Good Luck Matshark!!

Event was a huge success!! Had close to a capacity crowd. The Fights were all good. The first 6 were a little fast, but you can't do much about that - most went to the ground early and someone got caught in an arm bar. We had some issues with the fight card. Had to move around some fights, due to one guy coming in 7 pounds lighter than we was supposed to. The guy he was fighting, Adam Abate, drove in, so Matshark was kind enough to let him take his spot. I know he wanted to fight on Saturday, but took one for the team by not and earn a lot of respect from a lot of people, including myself, for his willingness to give his spot up. It's a lot of work to get ready to fight - mentally and physically.
RAM dominated the event. Went 5-1 and the one loss was Caleb McAllister - who put on a show, but on Saturday night the judges thought Powell was better. I think if it would have been 5 rounds - McAllister would have won. If your into MMA and live near Lynchburg and are not training at RAM - you are not serious about being good.
Thanks to everyone that can to the event on Saturday.
