CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Liberty University graduate student Lisa Foster has been randomly selected as the grand prize winner of the Big South Conference’s “College Loan Corporation – Cap & Gown Giveaway” for the 2005-06 academic year, the Conference office announced today. Foster is the recipient of $5,000 in credit toward her student loan and a $100 gift certificate from Liberty’s bookstore to offset graduation expenses, courtesy of College Loan Corporation.

The “College Loan Corporation – Cap & Gown Giveaway” – in its third year – was open to all Big South graduating seniors and graduate students this past year, and campus finalists were selected at random. Each finalist received a $100 bookstore gift card to help cover their respective graduation costs, and Foster was randomly picked as the grand prize winner from the group. The campus winners were Foster, Christopher Thacker (Winthrop), Millard Parsons (Coastal Carolina), Christopher Ferguson (High Point), Brandy O’Neal (Radford), Rachelle Bouronich (Charleston Southern) and Joseph Brennan (Virginia Military Institute).

“What a blessing to hear that I had won the $5,000 loan repayment,” said Foster. “Thank you Big South and College Loan Corporation for sponsoring such a great opportunity.”

“College Loan Corporation congratulates our grand prize winner, Lisa Foster, and all the campus winners of our Cap & Gown Giveaway,” said Hoyt Morgan, College Loan Corporation Vice President of Marketing. “We are proud to sponsor this contest to help the students and graduates of the Big South member institutions as part of College Loan Corporation’s commitment to providing a first-class customer experience and money-saving college financing and refinancing options.”
