A Sea Of Red

I'll be in Lynchburg on Sunday to celebrate my brother's birthday and would love it if any of you have restaurant recommendations to share. We usually just eat at the same chain places (Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse, O'Charleys). I'd like to try something different.

Waterstone - Downtown at the Bluffwalk Center.

Of course, it all depends of budget. But for similar prices to what you would expect at the chains you could do the Depot Grille. This has me looking forward to our annual summertime "Best in the 'Burg" polls.

Anybody been to Riverside pizza? Very similar to Waterstone. It has a little more of a hipster atmosphere. It was pretty good.

It's in that little patch of restaurants/stores next to Randolph. You have to go around to the side and it's like in a basement.

Did it used to be a big Bar with pool tables and stuff that would randomly turn into a club random days out of the month at night?

I had never been there before it was a pizza place but it looks like it could have been that.

think I know what youre talking about, as you walk down the to doors it slopes off and is kinda underground?

yeah, that's the place.

riverside pizza is the old tc trotters. proto and sly are right you cant go wrong with waterstone or depot. right down the street from each other, with good food and service.

Trotters! I used to do the balloon drop there back in my Z100 days.

I'm offended at this comment Sly!! Do you see anyone from the Burg posting on here?? I think the Lynchburg Living "Best Of" is a better source;)

no just go with the burg...they always know whats going on...haha

I was referring to our FlameFans polls each summer and not the periodical.

Depot Grille sounds good. Just checked their menu out online and they have a good selection. I didnt see a website for waterstone though.

Rivermont Pizza is excellent ... tip your bartenders well. They're all good people. Try the Quatro Carne pie. Amazing.
