Heritage HS Football Coach Resigns

Maybe going after the PC job??
Heritage High School head football coach Chris Jones has resigned his position, according to a statement released by Lynchburg City Schools this morning.
Jones, who has been head coach for seven years, will pursue other career opportunities, the statement said.

Well...one person we all know that BJ is more qualified than...
You think if BJ does not get the PC job, he goes after the Heritage job?

Well this is a surprise to me...but COach Jones is a real stand up guy. I met him this summer getting ready to cover Heritage for WBRG. I hope he finds a great new opportunity. Alright boys...you shuffled your feet getting it down to Presby but how bout getting this one to Heritage by end of tomorrow? Its a short drive over you know

I plan on applying you for this job BJ...but I must know....is there ANY reason I personally can get in trouble for applying you to work with kids....

None...I have no criminal record and do not have anything that would be considered questionable when it comes to working with young men. I expect that they will be contacted before the close of business today.

Note that he did NOT say anything about no criminal record when it comes to working with young women.

No worries man...Anyway I also got to meet a number of the assistants when I watched Heritage this summer getting ready for my job and they are standup people. Id certainly retain ma few of them (if not all)

That no doubt factered into my decision to do that...not to mention the fact that these guys have established connections to these kids. It would help the transition for me no doubt
