Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr., along with board members of Liberty University School of Engineering and Computational Sciences and community leaders, officially christened the school’s new facility, located on the third floor of the Arthur S. DeMoss Learning Center, Tuesday.
We needed engineers to fix the 3rd floor so that it could support weight. I bet this is why we started a school of engineering.

I thought we were using the super-duper magnet free, dustless, radio-proof labs that came with the GE building?

yes. so I hear.

and I'm surprised no one jumped on the "GE building" tag. I actually couldn't remember what it ended up being called after, say- 1990. Therefore: it will always be GE. Just like Liberty Gym will always be Liberty Gym.

someone told me they thought lawnmowers were kept in it!

some local electronic companies rent it from us. just as stated in the past, it's an expensive building, which means expensive to move. the school was begged not to tear it down; apparently it's something special.

i think originally lawnmowers were kept in it until they realized what it was. I'm not 100% sure of that though.

i heard it cost over a mil to build because of all the special materials used
