I think it's one word. I've not been myself. I don't think we have anybody on this board rolling like that except for HMO. And I'm half sure he runs out before the bill gets there.

Here's a menu

12oz new york strip for $30. I don't think I'll be going there until I retire.

We've discussed this place on here a number of times on here. I believe Badger has discussed it.

I'd suggest using the search function with "shoemakers". I'm operating off BlackBerry or I would do it for you.

i take my good vendors there and it is indeed a fine dining experience. the food and service is excellent and is highly recommended. be prepared to spend though like you would any place that touts itself as fine dining.

We ended up going to mainstreet.

62 dollars was spent. But I would say it was worth it. The food was really good. The atmosphere was nice, and the location, just made it all the more inviting for the fine dining that was planned. Plus she paid!

mainstreet =3 1/2 stars.

33 bucks for a steak? if they use prime meat thats a steal, if its choice, you are paying way too much.

I go there for anything other then Steaks...I get the Tuna or other stuff...but I think Texas Road House has better steaks IMO

texas road house and outback are decent steaks if you get yours cooked right....but it generally doesn't happen for me. thats what you get when you've got a hs/college kid cooking your meat.

not about shomakers but another resturaunt in lynchburg ive heard everyone rave about the last few years is how great the depot grille is. Neither me nor my girlfriend finished our meals, it was horrible. I will most likely never go there again.

I don't like how they prepare their green beans at The Depot, but that's just because I'm too Southern in my tastes for food.

Other than that, I've enjoyed it there when we've been.
