Favor to ask from the Lynchburg Locals...

Guys,
I have a favor to ask... If someone can help me out, I'd appreciate it (just send me a private message to let me know)
On December 4th, between 5:30 and 6:30, Gov. Mike Huckabee will be at the Barnes & Nobles on Wards Road in Lynchburg for a book signing. As I live in Virginia Beach, I will not be able to attend. I asked one of my buddies who lives in the area, but he won't be able to get there until 5:45, and we just don't know if they'll cut the line off by that point.
I would really like to him to sign a book for my mother for Christmas. So if anyone lives in the Lynchburg area and wants to waste an hour or two helping a fellow flame fan out, I would really, really appreciate it.

Y'all are jerks. 44 views and no takers? Am I really that disliked amongst the FlameFans crowd?
No, that can't be it...

Sounds like a good job for BJ. He may even get you a picture of the good governor (with him in it, too).

I appreciate your concern, but I think I'll take the eight-hour round trip myself.

Nah, don't worry about it. Besides, if I make the trip, I'll see if I can get a pic w/ the good Governor. Yes, I am an unashamed schmoozer. It's almost as if I should be a politician or something...
...by the way, Richardson hasn't gotten back to me yet, but I just sent it off last week, so thanks for the help.

According to the local news on WSET, the line for getting Huckabee's autograph in his book stretched out the door of Barnes & Noble and all the way back to Best Buy. He's here until 6:30 and then going to another book signing later tonight in Roanoke at the Books a Million.

Ed, I really wish I could have helped you, but there is nothing I hate worse than standing in line for anything.

One of the managers told me that by the time the signing started, the line stretched from the B&N children's section all the way to Michael's.

Ed, you must drive like an old man. I can make it from my house in Chesapeake to the Vines Center in 3:08. (Hey, I'm a track guy...I know all of my personal records.)
