A Sea Of Red

It's been two years since I graduated, so I have no idea who's on campus - but I was just thinking about some of the weirdest/goofiest people I remember.

There was the girl with the cape and the roller skates
The cheerleader with the segway
The guy who danced at convo (they had to tell him he was disruptive to other people's worship on the stage once)
and then there's Dwayne Carson.

There is still a girl on campus who thinks she's an LCA elementary aged student that has the wheelie shoes. She is an absolute menace rolling down the halls of CN. Next time I catch her...there WILL be reps.

The guy that rides the unicycle seems pretty strange to me.

My wife said there is a strange kid who wears high-water khakis, a polo shirt from the 70's and a member's only jacket (with the banded collar). He has blonde hair and really thick glasses and carries around a briefcase. He always looks down. She was always very afraid to speak to him but she wanted to say hi just once.

Who is the guy who always wears blaze orange all the time (including his Converse tennis shoes)? I'm not saying he's goofy; just an interesting choice of color for his clothing.

Another interesting character was a student a few years ago who always dressed like a Jewish rabbi. In fact, I think "rabbi" was his nickname.

Yeah that's Patrick....it's a really neat story as to why he wears that color...something about almost dying and everyday since he's wanted to stand out for God.

I heard he got hit by a car, so he wears orange - so that doesn't happen again. I don't know, that's just what I heard.

I know he was hit by a car but I think he almost died and said that if he lives he'll stand out for God...lol maybe he said he just wanted to stand out...I dont know lol

Also, Rabbi is a tool who cant pass BIBL 350 even though they let him keep his project work form the first 2 times he took the class.

How about the kid that did karate in the rot??? And his mexican friend (I know his name, but I won't say it - he used to bug me b/c my wife said he used to hit on her and every girl he met, and he would always talk junk on the intramural fields during softball - and his team would always lose). That's it. I'm ill.

he was in a real bad car wreck up candlers mountain road in the 90's. i think he was in a coma for a while. its a miracle he is still alive. he keeps pictures of the car in his wallet, and will show them to anyone and tell the story. he told me all about it, and those pictures look really bad. there is blood everywhere

Have any of you guys ever gone to a soccer game, and heard the loud annoying guy that gets a roster of the other team, and he thinks its so halarious every game. If you have been to a soccer game in the last few years you know who I am talking about.

Hahaha...Im not the dancing guy...Im the sign language guy in convo. I have a lot of people talk to me around campus about that and its actually a pretty nice conversation starter. and Ive never been told its disruptive either. Its an interesting story of how I got into it in the first place.


As far as Patrick, Ive heard his story and its amazing. I definitely plan to be in town when he graduates in 2010. His is a story that could be turned into a very inspirational movie
