An AWAC has flown over my house 3 times in the last 10 minutes.

Am I about to be attacked by the Russians?

I'm inside, but it's very loud and it's flying very low. I get up to see what's causing that racket every time.

Pavlov's dog experiment. It's working.

I'm controlling it via remote and laughing as you run around in your underpants.

I think they are flying low in the area in search of LU's MBB defense...

Yeah, I've noticed that thing flying around to. I was walking to my car from Hancock and I noticed a huge plane looking like it was going to land at Lynchburg Airport, then saw the flag painted on the tail and "United States of America" written on it. It was pretty cool looking

Usually down here in Texas the DEA is using them.

My guess for the multiple times in a short period is that they are doing touch and go's. Typical for training in landings. I live near an airforce base and the C-130's do it all the time. No clue why its AWAC though.

Did it look anything like this as it went overhead?

Ok, I'm sure it's obvious to most of you that I sit by a window all day in my house. But this booger was circling around for about an hour today.

Then 30 minutes later a few blackhawks few by

and now just a few minutes ago 2 C-130s flew over

How in the world do you know every device that has flown over your house????

Every summer we get a chopper about 200 feet off the ground looking for weed on our land....they have yet to find where we grow it 8)

Seriously though, our property is a stop quite a few times a year

I see the problem. You are in Iraq! How did you get that elevated picture of the Blackhawk? from your roof?

probably wouldn't be smart to grow weed out in the open near an airport.

I know what all of these things are because I used to play a lot of military flight simulator games when i was a kid.

My house hovers in the air. That way I can play dice and the law doesn't apply to me.

Wow...and who knew it would have turned into such valuable information.

I noticed the E3 that was flying over today was a Navy plane.

That seemed odd to me.

I was out driving tonight and noticed one of those cargo planes trying to land at Lynchburg regional. It was so big it took him like 3 passes. I didn't ever see him get it down. I assume he eventually did. I wonder if this has anything to do with all of the bad weather? Like some stuff is being diverted or something.

He may have been doing touch-and-gos at LYH. That's what was happening back in November.

Do you think he didn't land because he had to go back to save Cougar and Merlin? I tell you, he should have had his butt busted but with Cougar turning in his wings, he'll get sent to Miaramar.

I'd like whatever it is you're drinking.

Eggnog, perhaps?
