Sports Management program hires a football guy from Tennessee:
Cohu resigns as JCS football coach
By JOSHUA PARROTT
jparrott@jacksonsun.com
Eric Cohu resigned as the Jackson Christian School head football coach on Monday to accept a professor-track position at Liberty University, where he will instruct in the school's sports management program.
Cohu joined the JCS football staff in 1999 as an assistant coach. In 2002, Cohu was promoted to head coach and posted a 38-12 record in four years.
The 2005 team went 11-2 and advanced to the Class A state quarterfinals before falling to eventual state runner-up Union City, 33-21.

The first change must be the name. When did they change that?

That dude looks just like Tom Green.
I had heard some changes were happening, I don't know what happened though.

Dr. Scott Hawkins is no longer with the dept. he is now head of the 30 hour Psyc dept.....Dr. Vicki Martin is now the Chair for SMGT
I asked Hawkins tonite about this hire and he had no idea about it and he said it still would have gone through him even though they're about to make a switch, so that really puzzles me

I love Dr. Martin. I never had Dr. Hawkins. Dr. Martin's awesome though.

first thing- he's gotta run over and show Big Russ Monroe what a nice goat looks like- this is the look I've been preachin' for the kid for a year now. Think "intimidation"
oh yeah- welcome aboard Coach/Prof Cohu

talent, my friend. And a distinct lack of sick or injured people requiring my assistance.

nothing compares to the Dr. Gibson and Bill Hayes classes. Where is Bill Hayes nowadays? I know he went from Liberty to pharmacuticals (sp?) sales and his wife was coaching some local women's team but havn't hearn anything since. Hayes used the dumbest jokes, but they always made fall out of the chair

Saw him in Petsmart a few weeks back....both getting out dogs cleaned up. We had a few people around us and me and my wife, so i asked him " what are you doing these days Mr. Hayes" , He quickly chuckles and says "Selling Drugs". Needless to say everyone looks at him and he laughs and says " Pharmacuticals" . Just another priceless hayes moment. I took his sports history class and used to have a call in time on my sports show just to listen to that guy, very smart but also very funny!

Hayes and I hung out last week since our paths crossed in Richmond. He and I go way back to our coaching days. I have known his wife Tracy for close to 20 years. He also worked with the Wiz and Caps back when Mrs SCAR was there doing her internship. Josh Op, Hayes and Mrs SCAR and a few others from Liberty were all in the organization back then. I always tell people he is my wife's cousin because his last name is her maiden name and she has an uncle Bill Hayes. He seems really excited about and still supports Liberty Athletics even though selling drugs is a demanding business. Ask any rapper and they will tell ya.

I know hayes a little bit. He is a good guy. I know his wife is coming off of back surgery and from what I have heard from someone who knows them she is doing well.

Well the wonderful and entertaining SCAR let it be known that perhaps my name was being besmirched here at this site. There are sooo many sites where that DOES happen I was just wanting to know if I had to add another one!!
Thank you for the flattery about my classes being fun. However, keep in mind the next time you make fun of my jokes, that it is NEVER too late to change your GPA!!! Don't let me find out who you are!!! As for our dogs meeting at Petsmart, rest assured there will be no evidences of "kennel indescretions" due to the fact that Vegas is rolling snake eyes in that department!!!
Yes I am selling drugs, despite the fact my police record showed me as over qualified.
Yes, I am a card carrying member of the Flames club, but still waiting for my tickets! (Did I win the Hummer?)
Yes, I do officiate, but to put me in the same breath as Give Me The Mic, insults me. Wieght class, maybe.
Yes, my wife is coming off back surgery and doing fine. After 7 years of carrying my tail, something HAD to break down.
ROCKET, those were GREAT times on your show. What happened to the one dude who wanted to punch me? I still laugh at his antics!
JACK it is pharmaceutical sales, but I prefer drug rep or drug dealer. Isn't there a rap song about that? Or being a pimp or something?
Yes, Dr G has gone on to different greener pastures. I know you are shocked Gibson and money!! He is very happy where he is at and starting to do some great things there. He know is the proud adopted parent of his daughters dog (would that be grand dog?) Chaney pup. Apparently he was unable to behave and was expelled from doggy day care. (Or trying to come into class 3 minutes late!
For extra credit, if you were TRULY in my classes what TWO things are wrong with this article? One is actually IN the article and the other is the philosophy of the hire? The first one will be easy as it was on ABOUT EVERY TEST I GAVE!! The second not so much.
Now I just gotta find out how to get one of those cool pictures everyone else has. Perhaps one of me flexing? Any suggestions? I have NO IDEA how to do that sort of things. That is what Practicum class was for!
PEACE OUT and RoCK SOLID
