They are on the first floor of DeMoss. Over 50 LU students signed up within the first hour.

Its good to see that we are welcoming opposing viewpoints on campus. From what I understand (and this is based off what I heard...so it could be 100% accurate or as accurate as when they're calling for snow here), previous attempts to get something like this started would've never gotten off the ground.

Previous attempts were made even back in the Late '80s when I was a student. But they were more of a novelty than actual student group. They tend to fizzle out rather quickly. But with a big election coming up, there is a more political interest to stoke the fires.

The hard part is probably finding a faculty sponsor.

Jerry used to say as soon as the school went liberal it'd be ok for us to come back and burn it down.

Yeah, that happened several years ago. The school is doing its best to hold its own.

With some of the things Jerry Jr. has both said and done, I think it is clear that the school is far from turning liberal.

but maybe the financial aid department is....haha..i kid!

NPR did a major piece on the LU voter drive this morning. Also mentioned Dems on campus. Pretty fair report overall. Several students were interviewed

It is all a ploy. This just makes it easier to find out who THEY are and "deal" with them!!!
