I have honestly never really "went after" an LU girl. I've just had friends get burned by girls like that and have read things on Facebook or Myspace that say things of that nature.

I've never had that excuse used on me actually...though one girl did accuse me of stalking her. The truth in that situation was just completely random run-ins.

I was talking to a girl once and she was saying that she wanted to break up with her boyfriend and I asked why. She said she felt God was calling her to be single at the moment. However, she played a sport and her season was coming up so you make that call.

God was calling her to be single at the moment

THAT belongs on the all-time list of lame excuses.

Amen to that, I can't stand the "I am dating Jesus and only him" or the best one" I just feel like the Lord is wanting me to be single and focus on him" SJ you can back me up on this is proably the mindset of 75% of the girls at LU and the other 25% they want marriage by this time next week!!!!!

Yes...all 3 of my stalkers over the past 3 years wanted me to marry them...I was "the one" for them. Since that time, one never came to LU, the other left Liberty and the third one seems to have moved on completely and just totally ignored me when I say "Hi" if I see her. Not that I'm complaining...hehehe

I have heard these excuses before. I didn't go to LU, but to another Christian school, Mount Vernon Nazarene in Ohio.

So, I am familiar with the language you speak. It's been 15 years, but things remain the same.

Congrats ATrain on the "victory." I gotta tell you guys I never heard those excuses when I was in school. I don't know how I would have responded to something like that.

We laugh, make fun of them, and make groups on Facebook called "You're not dating Jesus, you just don't like me."

Never had "called to be single" bit used on me but I had a friend whose girl said that she felt that God was speaking to her and wanted her to break up with him. He thought she was joking and he told her that God had spoken to him too and God had told him to assault her and leave her body in the bushes.

He got suspended for a year. The "called to be single" chick hooked up with my buddy's prayer leader three weeks later.

Every one of the "called to be single" kids end up liking someone else like two weeks later.

I've never heard it for real, just by speakers in convo. They sometimes mention stuff like that. But if I ever did hear it, I'd definatly call them out on that. That's bull.

I take full pride in being the president of that group on facebook too... I wish you guys that used to go to LU could see it now, it's suck a joke!!!! SJ is right we laugh at them and then make fun of them...but I will not call out anybody on the board, but let's just say that I had a recent experience with this...I think I told Bigsmooth about this...

That's funny, but that's not the only one.....

And after 23 hours...its over. And no, it wasn't her idea to end it...it was mine. We were both moving way too fast, and she lived in SC and the only time we'd be able to spend together would be one weekend at the end of June and then nothing for at least 2 months.

She agreed that we were pretty hasty...and we are good friends still.

Are you serious...How is that possible less than 1 day!!!!!
