Truck I saw in the TRBC parking lot

Took the kid to Kid's cove yesterday and saw a truck that was just covered in religious bumper stickers. I grabbed my phone and took a picture of the most noticeable one.
Seriously? What the heck. Initially, I thought it was kinda funny. And I'm as anti-PC as they come, but does this do anything but turn people off? (And get your truck keyed eventually in the process).

If it was a Tacoma with North Carolina plates, I bet I know who it belongs to.

This guy actually goes to TRBC. I see him up front, first row, every Sunday morning raising his hands. Kinda disheartening.

There's one word to describe someone like this: Ignoramus

Anyone ever hear of the 1st amendment? Not that I don't condone it, but he has the right to say that, too

He has the right to be an ignoramus but as a Christian he should think twice about putting a sticker on his truck that is that ignorant. I obviously believe that homosexuality is wrong and that a marriage of this sorts ruins the sanctity that surrounds marriage, but the best thing we can do to show them Christ is love them. This sticker is not showing Christ's love; instead its ostracizing them from the church. This guy gives all Christians a bad name and is the reason so many homosexuals hate the Church.

It's this one guy? Seriously? He must get around. I wonder how many miles are on that truck by now.
Honestly, I think that any attempt at "evangelism by bumper sticker" is pretty much a d----- bag method of getting the point across but what's ignorant is to throw out the message with the means. Homosexuality = wrong, pure and simple and I would suggest that
that is why so many homosexuals have a problem with "The Church".

That's what I was getting at. Ignorance is not what we're looking at. I'm sure he is aware what he's doing. It's just being brash and having the opposite affect that a Christian should want to have.

now this bumper sticker would be something legitimate for people of Lynchburg to complain about....well, at least more legitimate then the whole parking thing....

Just b/c you have the right to do something doesn't mean you should...I'm not sure of the reference, but isn't there a verse where Paul states that "All things are lawful, but not all things are good," or something like that?

I view peoples political/social beliefs and mores on a bell curve...he would definitely be on the one end of the small standard deviation.

i mean, the guy has a right to say what he wants on his car. do i find it witty? yes. could it be offensive to some people i know? yes. but i really think people get too bent out of shape over little things. ok, so somebody disagrees with how somebody else acts. yeah thats only been going on since the beginning of the world. so instead of getting everyones panties in a wad, maybe we could all work on fixing problems more pressing than what bumperstickers someone chooses to display on their truck... like maybe the national deficit and national scurity...

ok, I'll get the guys together and we'll put together a plan.

The bumper sticker doesn't lie. I'd just hate to ruin a good paint job with any bumper sticker.
