That number is artificially inflated by spam and the members that join for the week we play them in football. It still looks good though. I think we will get more as football season winds down and we are in the hunt for a playoff birth!

I really hate the spammers. A few months ago, I went through my whole memberlist at Winthropfans and deleted the spammers and I lost about 40-50 members on my member count. I probably have to delete about one or two a day now.

I'm still trying to figure out the point of some of the recent spammers. They don't seem to be promoting anything in their profiles and they never post. What is the point of that? Not that I'm complaining.

Yeah, I ban these spammers as soon as they arrive as well as their IP addresses and e-mails. But they just keep coming.
