One thing I have noticed though, is that TRBC is buying up every single peice of land in the area that they can. I thought it was to keep it for campus purposes but I wonder if some of it, they're gonna try to develop. Because some of it just isn't attached to other stuff that they own. One of the tracts touches my property so I hope they leave that one alone. It's actually a good place to develop a neat off road 4WD trail, since LU is doing this whole mountain biking/outdoorsy thing. Sounds like a good project for the transportation department.

This will be the same type of mall that Apple normally drops a store into. However, I'm not sure we're a large enough town to get one even with it being the right kind of mall.

So...they're comparing it to the Short Pump Town Center? I go there about maybe 2-3 times a month (Bose and Apple store) and I have to admit that my wife and I do enjoy just walking around the mall on nice spring or fall evenings...however, being that it's one of those "outdoor" malls...it can get pretty brutal walking around with the very oppresive humidity we can get here in the Richmond area.

i can view it, but what was written is pretty much it. it will have one million SF in retail space. river ridge has 784,775 SF just as a comparison. indeed this is very exciting and this will transform lynchburg. this certainly makes the idea of LU buying river ridge more of a reality.

ok. I could see it if was future expansion...but if it's for the land only...and not expansion...then the TRBC powers that be would just sit on it and wait to sell it to the highest bidder...right? I'm clueless when it comes to things like this, but how close to the edge should a non-profit go? am i making any sense?
