i would understand then, and i don't even mind before 4:30 not being able to park ANYWHERE, but after 4:30 thats ridiculous.

I have no sympathy. Freshman cars are considered peremantly parked and were told that at the beginning of the year when they signed up. Most schools don't even allow freshman parking. Get over it.

If freshmen pay the same amount, they should get the same rules. After 4:30, it should be open for anyone.

no, they changed it after we got here. we used to have a little bit more parking than we do. plus, they don't give all freshman that tag. idk how they decide who, but its retarded

Some freshmen get hill spots, some get circle spots, some get freshmen spots. I've never understood how they make the call on who gets what.

See, that would tick me off (I actually wrote tick). I was 17 until October of my freshman year. There's no reason I should've gotten a freshman sticker and someone who was 18 didn't.

If you're a freshman, you should get a freshman sticker, regardless of age.

I'd venture to say the walk is much less expensive than a drive down there these days. So if it isn't worth the walk, it certainly isn't worth the drive.

i was under the impression we could park no where, anytime, except the pit. "we" being freshman. i have taken the risk many-a time this year, and liberty now has $90 more of my money (3 tickets). i'm not happy about it, but i knew it was risky.

as for parking, i say keep the blue spots, keep the admin. spots, keep the commuter spots... but everything else should be free game.

I literally donated thousands of dollars to LU through my parking tickets during my 4 years. It's embarrassing looking back at how stupid I was.

Yeah I was gonna say they changed it but I have never heard you couldnt park there after 4:30. Anyway there are so many people parking when they change the rules they gotta make sure everyone knows somehow

Tally, your payment of parking tickets may have helped to finance the paving of most of our parking lots, so thanks for your support: our current students surely thank you.

I honestly think we're paving the best that they can. I think the ground underneath is causing all of the road sinkholes. That's just my theory though. I can't believe that they want to be repaving every year just because they cheap out.

Smooth, have you driven up on the circle to where the quads (aka, senior dorms) are? All of those lots are paved and look beautiful. And, of course, all of the the East Campus parking lots are newly paved.

They aren't senior dorms.

But the circle is misrable. It's like off-roading.

no i have not been by the "senior dorms" but i have driven from the tennis courts to the vines, as well as the baseball road, and they are by far the worst words ever. btw....are those dorms still senior dorms??

TD, the quads, for the older timers, were originally built as senior dorms, so that's why I listed it parenthetically: for the alumni, that's what those dorms were called in their day, though I understand that who can live there has changed for current students.

(it's interesting that a "How Safe is LU?" thread has turned to a discussion of our parking lots). We need an old timer to come on here tell us about the tent and a campus without sidewalks so that we can be really...

they will ALWAYS be "Senior Dorms". And they weren't finished when I left.

thats what I called them all weekend, to the annoyance of SJ and others, and thats what I will continue to call them

Same goes for Liberty Gym. Will always be Liberty Gym, whether or not "someone" decided to call it Schilling :D

have a nice day

They were the senior dorms up until 3 years ago. Don't let them pretend like it hasn't been recently called that. Liberty Gym however, that's old school.

Does "Liberty Gym" pre-date the name "Multi-Purpose Center"?

I didn't mind you calling them that, Medic. I actually used that term to help you out.

The circle is horrible, half of P1 is horrible, the road around the baseball field is horrible, P2 is horrible, and the back way behind the Rot to the tennis courts to the Vines is horrible.

Isn't that road near the tracks the one they are planning to make a new main road around campus?

Also... how far along is that tunnel that's supposed to go under the tracks near the FOC?
