We have a Wild Wings...worst food from a chain I have ever had. Hams has a similar atmosphere and better food.

Although I voted for Chilis, why not them all:
Boston Market
Chilis
Carrabbas
Steak n Shake

Whataburger is ok...I just like going there because of the name...there are several opening upin Florida...there are 2 or 3 already open in the Orlando area...and there is suppose to be one opening up in Titusville within the next year or so...

and we do have a Buffalo Wild Wings now...it opened up a little over a year ago i think...I go there a lot....wings are alright, but what keeps me coming are the onion rings...they are very, very good

For burgers either Fatburger or In and Out. A good BBQ place would be welcome--something like Jack Stack's in KC. A good southwestern style place.

Speedy's in Lexington. And bring the waitresses with you.

Man I miss playing Central Davidson and Lexington. That was always a fun stop.

If they ever get the family feud figured out, In N Out Burger could take over America in nothign flat. Until that happens, they won't be any further east than Vegas. But I agree with Badger that it would be awesome. Everytime I'm in L.A. I hit the location right by the LAX rental car companies on Sepulveda ... coming & going.

Fatburger is OK. But there are quality regional chains like that across the country (we have Becks Prime & Prince's here in Houston).

Let's save barbecue for another thread. It creates too much of a ruckus.

One thing I remember from football season is Flameshaw had on an In N Out Burger t-shirt.

I can safely say without hesitation the worst BBQ I ever had was at Lexington BBQ in NC. Most disappointing. I have traveled the US looking for good BBQ from Sweetwater Texas (very good) to Blue Ridge Pig (Yum) to Seattle--(several good places now of which Pig Iron is one of the best). Also KC, Memphis, Austin, Alabama, and many points in between.

Lexington is known for their bbq, but it all depends on which place you eat at.

The best barbeque is the Georgia Pig in Brunswick right off 95. There was some place in western NC too (Near Boone) called Woodlands which was decent as well.

Please stick to the topic at hand of which chain you'd like to see in Lynchburg. I'll fire up the coals for a new BBQ thread to continue that discussion over there in the Courtyard.

Both of those places are so overpriced. Huddle House in Bedford is where it's at.

Mac, I'm a big fan of Huddle House, as well. They are a huge step up from the Waffle House. If Bedford can get one, I would think Lynchburg could, too.

living in california for 3 years, i took in-n-out for granted, if i had known id be moving to chicago i would have eaten there every day to "stock up". I miss that place more than anything. We have cheesecake factory all over in chicago, it seriously is the worst resturaunt. Their food sucks and is far too overpriced. Yes their cheesecake is good, but its not that much better than anywhere else you can get it. The resturaunts i would truly love to have in lynchburg are impossible to have, i miss the little seafood places all along the puget sound coast in seattle area, where the food was caught that day. Nothing beats those places, i dont care who you are or what youve eaten

I grew up in the Charleston area, Q, and I second you on the seafood. It's only good if it's fresh. If they have to freeze it and put it on a truck to get it to my plate, it's going to taste like crap guaranteed. Aside from fish -- and even then it depends -- , I don't eat seafood that's not within spitting distance of where it could possibly have been caught.

Beef O'Brady wouldn't be bad. There's one right down the street from Coastal and they do a lot of Coastal-related things there. If we could get one and have LU-related things there, I'm all for it.

I haven't been to Beef O' Brady's...there is one in Titusville (home), but for some reason i haven't been there.....everyone that has been there says its alright...so i guess since its kind of out of the way, i have never made the trip to go....and if Lynchburg did get one i have a feeling it would have more LC stuff in it then LU stuff, because thats just how this town is

There's one in Appomattox too, although I've never been to that one. A Huddle House in Lynchburg would be amazing.
