I think investigation is over before new President is in place. Any quality candidate from outside is going to want that investigation done before they choose to take it on because it looks like such a mess right now. Appointing a new President before the investigation would limit the pool chosen from, in my opinion.

It hasnt limited the interest in the job at all from what i hear so far. Finalizing a hire is another thing but there will be plenty of good candidates. They may not satisfy the woke millennial crowd but that isnt of consideration.

Woke millennial, haha. A lot of millennials are well into their 30s still paying off school loans and raising kids. Im not sure how many of us are "woke".

Whoever is hired won't make everybody happy but the most important thing is staying true to our mission.

I think almost every student and alumni just want a president that’s apolitical and have no baggage that he or she would bring.

Still think we should get someone who Emphasis is on Academics and the mission of the school.

Franklin Graham has been announced as speaker for a required faculty and staff convo tomorrow (which they just announced today and expect everyone to rearrange their lives around ).
I have my opinions, but I'm curious:

1. Do you think he would be interested?
2. Do you think the board is considering him?
3. Would you want him?

I'm sure plenty of people would want him but I wouldn't be a fan.

I think Franklin has been apart of some awesome things but I'd much rather have someone much more focused on spiritual things than poltical things and Franklin just isn't that guy.

With that said, he would be a big hit for some people here.

Liberty students who want one could have a direct link to serve at Samaritan Purse. Would be a nice fit. Many young people do two years in the Peace Corps coming out of college. Two years with Samaritian would be pretty neat.

I’m a fan of Franklin Graham. I would not mind him on the Board or involved in the Selection Process. I’m not sure he’s the guy to run a University

I knew last week he was speaking. Hopefully he will be live streamed, thus I can watch it. Franklin is one of the best speakers to come to LU.
