We made it thru OK...but others we know got caught not being able to pull some of the hills on that part of 29. Getting back into Lynchburg...there was about a 2-3 mile backup on 460E between LU and past Campbell Ave.

Across the ABC 13 Viewing Area - Plumbers are gearing up for what may be a busy weekend. Just two or three days of freezing weather can wreak havoc on your plumbing. We have some tips that can save us all some time and headaches. To keep your pipes from freezing, start inside. Keep your cold water on a little more than a drizzle. And open up the cupboards around the sink to let the heat circulate. But don't forget what to do outside.

Never in my life have I heard anything like this. No school because it is a little chilly? What kind of limp-wristed bed wetters are we raising here? Close school because its too hot last year and now because its too cold. Global Warming got you to the point you can only go when the temperatures are comfortable outside? Does the buses not have heat? Does the school not have heat? The administrators, teachers, and any parents that pressured them for this should be ashamed of themselves. This is one reason that I never put my kids in Bedford county schools. TOTAL incompetence! JF is supposed to have such a tough football team and they can’t wear a big coat to school?
