1990 I was 8 years old and starting the third grade. The 1990s are somewhat of a bittersweet time for me because I lost two of my grandfathers, one in 1990 and one in 1993.

I left after the Seinfeld montage. Pretty lame up to that point. Congrats to BJ for winning some gift cards and getting slimed.

It was fun being up there (Shoulda gone with my first answer on that last question though). The downside is that slime they used burned like all get out! I spent a good 40 minutes getting it out of my eyes after I left the stage, and then another 30 minutes washing it off after I got back to my room.

there were a couple funny things, but over all retarded with terrible singers.
and for some reason the people leading it couldn't memorize their lines, and had to read straight off the note cards. i think there was a pause when they changed cards. it was ridiculous.

Don't they tape these deals? Let's see somebody come up with the sliming.

And I'm still waiting for the JJ shoutout to SJ.

I'm glad I missed last semester's then. This was the worst one I can remember attending, and I've seen some crap over the years. That's not to say there wasn't some talent (the Santana cover band were pretty good, and the Weezer song was fun). Would've liked to see someone do The Verve, REM, Pumpkins or U2 (although those all probably would have been butchered).

HA! My high school football coach used to wear those all the time. Probably still does, wherever he is.
"C'mon guyz! Pick up the rocks!"
Do you think he still drives the red Yugo?

By the way, watch out for the wire on the sidelines.

You guys are vultures...yes that relationship status is accurate...she is a friend of mine that I met a few years ago while she was a student at LU. She had a crush on me while she was here as it turned out. No plans to start a singing career though.

A friend of mine who does videotaping (he actually has these really cool monthly videos that he has been doing for the last two years and you can check out some of his work at http://www.youtube.com/user/BlastCoaster87 and you can order DVDs of his work at http://devin.coaster-net.com/) actually videotaped my whole on stage appearance at Coffeehouse so hopefully I can get a link to that once that is ready.

Haha... I have a feeling that Yugo is long gone. No way it's survived this long.

My knee still hurts from that sideline incident.

You know, I realized that I've been to a 90s Coffeehouse before, but it wasn't themed that way. It was actually in the 90s.
