if it makes you guys feel any better- we got @ 6" up here this AM (and just stifle the jokes about my wife finally being happy )

And I have to work in it tonite.

All the snow over here (2 hours west of Medic) has been cleared off, the roads are just icy in spots. We left Lynchburg this morning and there was nothing. There gradually got more and more snow but the roads weren't bad anywhere at all. I saw on the news that Philly schools didn't cancel til noon today and parents were not happy at all about it.

Philly public and parochials were OPEN this AM when all the 'burbs closed- but then panicked and closed at noon.

So all the parents who sent their cherubs off for the day had to high-tail it back from work in the middle of the day after all.

yeah- not happy about it, either. At least I knew I had the kids all day from the get-go.

Yea, that was it.

I can't fault LU for closing because of:

a) The forecast that was predicted and

b) The backlash for closing 2 minutes before school started earlier this semester and not announcing a delay until after classes started the first day of exams.
