Forget Osaka's. If you want good fast-food Japanese, Tokyo Express on Timberlake in the Kroger shopping center (behind TGI Friday's) is where it's at. They will beat any other place in town, hands down.
The Neighbor's Place, The Depot (downtown), and Liberty Station in Bedford are all slightly more expensive places to get great food.
On the cheap: For good burgers, The Cavalier seems to be the way to go. Wonderful Italian food can be found at Vinny's on Timberlake (just off of 501). If you've got kids, take them to CiCi's in Candler's Plaza and let them eat until they bust. It's not the best pizza I've ever had, but it's cheap and a buffet.
The chain joints are all the same no matter where you go, but it's still nice to have them in town. I remember when they weren't here and I don't want go back. If the chains are your thing, Chili's is on the way to join the Wards Rd. madness. Remember, you heard it here first.
And speaking of chains, I think I'm addicted to Panera Bread now that it's finally open.
