Yesterday's high temp was two degrees short of the Lynchburg record set in 1930. Another scorcher is coming today, and we'll probably break the record today since it's a couple of degrees cooler. (99˚ set in 1900.)

We're 13 freakin' degrees above the average for the city on these dates. My AC unit is begging for mercy and my house is feeling like I may need to re-think my insulation when things cool off.

Today was the first practice they even cut a little short and that was only about 20 minutes. Everything else has been full time, including a lot of players running extra after the practice is over. The trainers are doing a great job keeping everyone hydrated and all of that.

Thank goodness for Home depot and a $127 window unit but doesn't do much for anything but the bedroom. Original estimate was $1700 but call back and said it would be $2600!!!! Not th way I wanted to start my weekend

and you may be surprised to find how many people share a lot of your views

not everyone down there thinks in lock step. Its probably fair to say that this board is a microcosm of the student body- nearly every viewpoint represented. And thats a good thing.
