We used to have banners on the lights. All of them. Red and blue ones with the seal and our name. They started to look pretty worn out, and nothing was ever put up after they took them down. I'm glad to see we're putting the poles back to good use.

Yeah, that's the way Barber felt when this was being talked about.

He's a great AD. He was very open to my suggestions. He used some & some he didn't. One of them that didn't get used was the same design, but red & blue with a white stroke highlighting the curve. I had to use an alternate logo for that & they didn't want to use the alternate just yet.

Those banners are nice...I also think having a dark (Navy or Black) banner with the university seal on it in gold and the school name in gold also would look sharp (perhaps for the fall season or near academic buildings.) I think that William & Mary has something similar with their university seal on campus....I could be mistaken on that though, or it was something they did awhile ago.

Nonetheless, the current banners are a nice touch. Now just for that on-campus lake...

We did have some things that were black & gold. However, with the new style guide, approved logos, & trademarking, we chose to stick with blue, red, & white and to not use black & gold anymore. I kidded with Dr. Falwell that maybe we were trying to become Wake Forest with those colors.
