Hey Guys --- Some cruial things have come up with my work and I am going to have to be a scratch for Homecoming. We may try to push our road trip back to the end of the season or perhaps into the spring.

That means someone bringing their family to town now has access to the best place to stay in Lynchburg IMHO. Just a few minutes away from campus and in town, the rental we book every time we come to town has 1200 sq ft with 2 bedrooms & 1 bath and sits on 5.5 acres in town with a creek running through it. Seriously. And it costs less than two cheap motel rooms per night. If you are considering bringing your family to town, let me know by PM and I will send you the contact info. I had the place booked to arrive on Thursday night and leave on Monday morning but it is all open now.

To better explain, If you told me three years ago that I would meet a girl on the internet, fall in love, get married and have a son, I would think you had three heads. Now maybe this is because I didnt see you much outside of LUnatics meetings and the occasional sporting event, but I figured you were into two things before you got into ministry: sports and picking on me (although I probably gave you plenty of material for the latter). Now youre married to an awesome gal, doing great things out in Tennessee and just being awesome...you still pick on me (and I still give you ammo), but I'm seeing a side of you that I frankly didnt really see or think I'd get to see: that of a loving husband and I think one day fine father

Didn't really make me mad as much as it annoyed me. The "finally settled down" line just rubbed me the wrong way. It implies things about me that aren't, nor ever have been, true. I'm a lot of negative things, but someone who ran through girls and all of that is not one of them.

Alumni should stop by the nursing department this weekend: they have this big black and orange "bug" on display that is infatable with lights.

I passed it several times today and wondered if it was supposed to be a tick. Finally, I had to stop and ask, "Is this a nursing thing or something for Hallloween?"

The receptionist said, "Well, in football on Saturday we are playing..."

Then I said, 'I get it--it's a spider!"
