My boss, an all around nice guy too.
hmm anyone else surprised by this response?
look joker, I have a lot more respect for Mr Kennedy than I do for someone like you who decides to go on a message board and act like Im somehow told to say nice things about my boss. I would say the same thing even if I wasnt working for the school. If you or EagleOne has a problem with young bucks getting a chance to show what they can do, we have a chancellor who is willing to post on this humble message board and allow us to share in what the Lord is doing on this mountain. If you have a problem with it, you can do one of two things: Either buy in and praise God for what He has done or get off the train at the next stop.
Are you capable of not being a jerk every 3rd post you make?

Certainly...but I do my best to be loyal to people I respect and when someone makes a claim, joking or otherwise, like 09 did, Im gonna come back like a caged bear about it. I have a lot of respect for Mr. Kennedy, even when he spoke briefly in chapel and I heard his story. Is he perfect? No...does it mean I think any less of him for it? No...when I say that I respect someone, Im not saying it because of some ulterior motive or external coercion, Im saying it from the heart of someone who is an intensely loyal person, and when someone questions it, Im gonna bite back.

What's with you? You're a homer so to post a homer response about your boss isn't surprising. That's what I was saying.

I'm all for young guys getting a shot, heck I'm young.

The way you express your unquestioned loyalty is...interesting, but no shocker for this board.

I'd wager that most of the young pseudo-executives and young faculty (cheer) leaders owe thanks to the oldest guy in the admin.

Wow! This post and the replies definitely sure up the old saying, "Opinions are like buttholes...everybody's got one, but they all stink!" (at least to someone else) It's ignorant to take the opinions that a few people have and judge those who you do not know personally. Going about life in this manner is a reflection of a high school gossip session. Young people can be successful. Old people can be successful. Age is not always defined by a number, and to solely use numerical age as a judgment point is wrong. Yes they may not be perfect, but better to get them in line before the older people leave rather than after. They are working ALONGSIDE those who have been in power at the University for a long time, to lead and to learn. Have your opinions, and post them on here, heck that's what it's for, but whatever side you stand on remember it's wrong to make judgement calls based on someone else's opinion. I don't know all the leadership, but whether I hear good or bad things about them, unless I know them personally I will judge their performance by results. As a student I can say the results look pretty dandy to me as of late! Now that's my opinion, hope it doesn't stink too bad for y'all!

Most of us in this thread are being sarcastic. I think the only one who is not is the original poster.

Yeah ha I pick up that for the most part; find it better to talk generally than call out one person...don't wanna be hurting anyone's feelings

Wait, wait...let me get this straight. Someone comments on a public message board under an anonymous alias about immaturity?

Did I read that correctly?

Because using an alias on a public message board is immature? Doesn't seem to fit the definition of immaturity to me. Come on Logic, live up to your clever alias my man. Logic isn't just a witty response. But hey, immaturity is pretty relative so if my having an alias is immature, guess I'm a hypocrite; aren't we all?

I don't think logic was talking about you.

Let me spell it out for you -

Posting negative views of current leaders anonymously on an Internet message board and saying they are immature is in and of itself, immature. The fact I am even bothering to respond is immature. I am prolonging the immaturity. This whole thread is immature.

Wasn't sure, but didn't see another recent post besides mine referring to immaturity. ("high-school gossip session") My apologies Logic if I took it in the wrong light, but regardless of who it was meant for, I don't think using an alias is a sign of immaturity. And I understand it may have been a joking knock on someone, but I'm still figuring out who is sarcastic and who is serious on this board ha.

I am talking about the post that started this thread. Irony at its finest. I will quote it next time.

Don't fret. For someone whose name is 'logic' he is very convoluted. We are just peons in is awe inspiring presence.
