That sounds like some kind of Texas or New Mexico Boy Scout camping dinner. :nod Do you eat it right out of the bag or pour it into a mess kit?

I'm on board with that. I really liked it at first but then found Moe's then Qdoba. I think I DO like the burrito there a little bit better but it's all the other stuff I like better at its competitors. Not saying I won't eat there lol

There's no way you can say Moe's is better! I used to think that because I pretty much hate anything that's trendy until it wins me over so I despised Chipotle but really their ingredients are night and day better than what Moe's uses.
FREE. CHIPS. Plus I'm with SJ I don't care for the white rice.

white lime cilantro rice is slightly better than brown rice that is hard and overcooked because it's been sitting in that bin for a few hours.

The biggest difference for me is in the heat. Moe's has no spice to it at all. Chipotle does.

But really both are good options, this doesn't have to be a burrito war.

Of course, Chipotle has that obnoxious 80's-style hippie industry-is-bad commercial, which is slightly off-putting.

I actually prefer burritos from Moe's over burritos from Chipotle as well. I'm aware that the ingredients are of a lower grade, but I like the flavor better. On the other hand, I think Moe's has some of the worst chips and queso I've ever had.

Chipotle's meat is by far the best of the three major burrito chains. I know some aren't a fan, but I really like Chipotle's cilantro rice. Moe's queso is good. That's the only redeeming thing about that place to me. I couldn't care less about the free chips, because after a burrito, I'm so full the last thing I want is chips.

Id be interested to try Chipotle. I would stick a couple of Moe's chips into the burrito because I liked the crunch...never have been a fan of queso anywhere but I like the choice in salsa

The fact that McDonalds drove this chain to success should explain its authenticity and quality.
Sly is 100% correct!!! Freebirds is the Jones' of burritos

that and why does Chipotle brag about how humanely they slaughter their cattle for the beef. I mean really? It's still dead.

Just as long as Lang is a progressive, socialist, neo-Marxist communist Democrat, then yes. All others need not apply

Open today.

40-45 minute wait at around 6:30 p.m., which was totally to be expected. And that's without most of Liberty's students here ... place may be completely inaccessible this weekend. Would I wait that long again? Probably not. Figured since it was the first day, I'd hit it up though. Line moved pretty well for that many people being there.

So completely over rated. I know that people in the burg have wanted this for years so I am sure they are happy. I just never got it. Its tex-mex done poorly but it is better then Moe's, so it has that going for it.

Much debated among some friends. Moe's Monday seems to be a hit, still. A line at 2:00 PM. Once school starts, I'm betting that Wards Rd. will be a no-go area for a while. All the more reason for Proto to get that burger joint downtown going!

New shopping center, where the old East Coast gas station used to be. To the right of Olive Garden.

Agreed. At least get a Qdoba down there and chow down on some 3 Cheese Nachos. California Tortilla would work as well. Better yet, get some real Tex-Mex made from good ingredients.

Am I the only one really not all that excited about this? The 3 cheese nachos have 750 calories and 42 grams of fat. Give me the Farm Basket or Jimmys on the James any day of the week.

Look, I dig the place, and I got my fix today and probably won't go back for a spell.

But who the heck is comparing Chipotle to Jimmy's? One is a nice sit down restaurant with a dude in a tux playing piano. The other is essentially a fast-food joint offering burritos.
