Their supplier confirmed, as he priced material right from the take-off, but he did say that until a sign goes up, he isn't going to get excited about it. Maybe someone who knows the owner of the property could ask them; after all, they have been involved at various levels with TRBC and Liberty.
Want to know who creepy the internet is now:

4010 WARDS RD
LYNCHBURG , VA 24502

Owned by GJJ OF LYNCHBURG LLC
Purchased for 875k in march of 11
Appraised at 1.18m

And if you thought owning an LLC hid much...
Registered Agent (owner of LLC): HUGH J M JONES III

Anyone know Mr. Jones? I have a feeling we will have inside information on this Chipotle rumor.

He is an attorney- GJJ is most likely the initials of the owner. Rumor has it that Glen Thomas and Jimmy Thomas are part owners - maybe the G and one of the Js. Maybe their dad, of Reber-Thomas fame is involved, as well.

Embarrassing I got lazy. If I finished the search I would have seen that the principal address is 1167 PRESIDENTIAL CIR in Forest VA. This home is owned by a Teresa Thomas who is listed along with Glen Thomas as a Presidents level member of the Flames Club.

Or you could just ask rogers who sounds like he is spot on

Here's an aerial shot of the construction site on Wards Rd from a week ago taken during a shoot I was coincidentally doing for Glen Thomas as his son was soloing for the first time, if anyone's curious to see how it looks from the air right now! (click for larger version):

I thought it was just a hiring fair they had on Friday? I played hookey to see Hunger Games, get my cars oil changed and a car wash so I got a good look at the traffic.

Went after church today. The line was out the door and wrapped around inside the restaurant but moved pretty fast. It was the first time I had eaten food at a Cookout and I was impressed. Very affordable and my burger was better quality than other fast food restaurants.

...and what a stampede it was. Cars were blocking lanes in both directions trying to get into the lot. On Sunday, they had a guy directing traffic in the lot.

On Sunday the drive through line circled the building TWICE just to order!

Loved it Saturday night. Forget the Drive thru. Go inside. the line was long inside but moved fast. Wife and kids loved it too, and it is definately reasonable.

Yeah, this must have been a soft opening for them, because it wasn't announced, but it seemed as though the entire region knew about it. We braved it on Sunday, and I thought it was worth it. I'm sure it'll be more enjoyable when not so busy.

I'm sure they're second-guessing their choice of location, however. Most people had to park in the Hibachi parking lot. From what I hear, the Hibachi people were pretty ticked on Saturday and had workers blocking the entrance to their lot unless they were patrons of their restaurant. That wasn't the case on Sunday (they either realized it was a lost cause or LPD paid them a visit). A bunch of people were banging their cars on the wall/curb trying to make that first circle around the building for the drive through. Ouch. It's just a poor layout on the property. They're going to have to think about buying the lot between them and the 501 offramp to alter the parking situation, if it stays this busy.

Give it about a month, and it will die off for the most part.

So, other than the milkshakes what are your favorites? Hamburger, hot dog, corn dog?

Hamburger cookout style (carolina burger) Chili, Slaw, Onion, Mustard. I didn't get a Milkshake this time, but I have had several I loved. Mint Oreo for one.

Big double burger with bacon. Side of chicken nuggets and french fries. Huge Cheerwine.

Boom.

I love their hot dogs. I have a hard time going to a cookout and not ordering a hot dog. It's kinda like going to Five Guys and not ordering a hamburger.

So we have narrowed it down to BJ-related & Carolina cuisine threads that lure SJ out of the shadows.

This is basically what I got, substitute a chicken quesadilla for the nuggets. The chili-cheese fries were pretty good, too.
