While I can understand not going to Ames you really need to find your way over to Lincoln for a Saturday game day experience (assuming you can find tickets, they’ve sold out since every game since 1962)...while there are louder and crazier stadiums to attend you won’t find a more passionate, knowledgeable (as pertaining to football and anything Husker), or respectful crowd anywhere…hopefully I can make it back to Lincoln once or twice this year as the in-laws have tickets in the 2nd row right on the 35.

Now back to our topic... :D

It was my turn to make the trip up to Lincoln the year I moved from Austin to Houston. And once in the big city, nobody cared much about college sports.

I have been to the stadium and covered college baseball in Lincoln. Yes, Nebraska has some great fans. But they haven't been quite as strong the past few years as the program as the quality of play on the field has continued to slide. I always loved covering Husker games back in the Osborne era because it seemed like the whole state travelled for their road games in Texas and the Big XII Championship games.

1. Iowa Hawkeyes
2. Nebraska Cornhuskers
3. Oklahoma Sooners
4. Texas Longhorns

Those are the only four schools that would pack out the place in Ames. You can probably eliminate the first because I don't recall the Hawks wearing all white uniforms ... they usually go with the yellow pants when they have the white jerseys. The same applies to Nebraska with regard to the pants ... obviously there fans would blend in. So it likely is either Land Thieves or the Horns.

Now back to your regularly scheduled banter about the suddenly expansive dimensions of Williams Stadium.
if you look closely, they do have on yellow pants, and though there is no visitors section, you see alot of people in gold and black throughout the stadium

Yellow is the secondary color for the Cyclones. I looked as closely as I could and it looked like all white uniforms. But then again, my eyes aren't as young as they used to be.

There's another false picture inside the journal too (the one above is on the cover). It looks like it's taken from the bottom of The Colosseum.

*edit, I found it online

I was poking fun at the photoshop job earlier but it's not really that bad. But I don't understand what the purpose of it is. It doesn't really have anything to do with enrollment reaching 50,000 and it just seems silly. Like we're insecure with our unfinished expansion stadium size or something.
