I just got a copy of the map that was listed in the news and advance a while back. I was a little concerned at first since I live off McConville but despite the increase in traffic it should help land values & it will be nice to be able to walk to the stores. My parents visit the Martin's in Waynesboro atleast twice a week. Nice store but I would like a Ukrop's or Whole Food's. Any idea on what else is going in there?

I live off of McConville as well. I haven't seen a map but hopefully traffic won't be too bad.

I actually saw a deer in the field across from my apartment complex today and there were three deer just walking around the tennis court.

i know of the stadium theatre, and they say some big box stores. do not be surprised to see another target. the retaliers are saying lyncburg is big enough now to support two stores of each type of buisness. as far as ukrops, it cannot be too far away. roanoke is getting one in the next few months.

I'm curious now. I do recognize Whole Foods- we have one in West Hartford, CT and Mr.Mc was driving for a company that delivers for them. Someone told me they're in FL; I know NY also has Whole Foods; glad to hear VA does. Most of you wouldn't recognize the store I put 12 yrs. of my life into (40-50 stores in MA and CT).

I've been to that Wegmans off Lee Highway in Fairfax, and SCAR is right, it's fantabulously fabulous. Great produce. Different little restaurants inside the store. Good place.

Right now, the best grocery store in town is the Kroger off Boonsboro Road, and it isn't even close. I live 10-15 minutes away from there but I make a point to shop there. They even have decent sushi there ...

Scar, you're right, Wegman's is pretty good. They've been around in upstate NY forever, and I've always liked going there. And I'll also second your Chipotle's, I think it would do amazing in Lynchburg, and I'm always in the mood for one. I think a Moe's would also do very well, it's pretty much a Chipotle with much more variety.

Never had Schmitty's hoagies but Lees is the best out there and Mrs. SCAR absolutely has to go there whenever we go to Philly. Howeva (spoken like Stephen A. Smith), we both like the Joey original at Wegmans better. It is simply amazing. Wegmans is the best place to shop for food on the planet. You really, really have to go there. Especially the one in Ashburn Virginia.

After hitting AC this spring, I'm hooked on the Whitehouse variety. Down here in Texas we have a chain called Texadelphia that gives the cheesesteak a bit of Southwestern flair. Its not exactly Philly, but it si extremely tasty (try ranch on your next cheesesteak and you'll be forever hooked).
