I didn't make this about me. You went after what I said, so I went after what you said. You have yet to give a good reason why people who follow the rules yet try to get them changed is wrong.

I don't challenge SJ b/c his arguments follow an actual degree of logic, whereas yours are as scattered as, apparently, your future plans. Okay let me rephrase to clarify.

Officially we shouldnt change the rules just to get people here when we have no place to put them. And to be honest, I doubt as if we will ever have a problem filling up up all our beds, so changing things to get more students here when we cant get more students here is stupid. If they want to make life easier for all of us, fine. Unfortunately Liberty is going to become more diluted as time goes on and the school gets bigger, but thats how life works.

I think this thread has taken a completely different direction from where it started. Our capability to challenge authority isn't the same as whatever it was 14 was talking about orginally. Just thought I'd point that out in case anybody was wrapped up in arguing.

But I dont have a negative attitude towards them for it. <---Thats my beef. Im not sure if at this point you can differentiate my posts with others but if the rules change I dont have a problem with that. I just wish we had people who enforced them and we let in people who wouldnt just blow off any rule they feel is not "spiritual"

and for those of you who can't read into the fine print of what I said earlier, I am transferring after this semester. No confirmation as to where yet, but I need to leave this place. It's getting pretty ridiculous... and no, FlameFans was not a factor in my decision. RTF being a ruthless jerk to me was not the reason. What about changing the rules to allow a different type of kid into the school that normally wouldn't come? What if it opened us up to a completely different part of the Christian culture that the school isn't open to right now? I ask that in all seriousness. There's a huge culture of Christian kids out there who dress as part of the counter-culture, look like part of the counter-culture, but are completely on fire for God and no one accepts them as Christians. There's a reasons churches such as Scum of the Earth in Denver or Revolution in NY/Atlanta are doing so well. They are going for the kids that everyone else rejects.

Really though if a rule or two keeps someone from being here then what does it say about them? Not in a bad way, just if having a collered shirt turns you off I mean cmon man thats ridiculous. Dress code is for class only. Curfew I can understand, but thats not a rule that can really be touched. The rest of them would yes, look more attractive as a school to attend. Perosnally I wouldnt have a problem with them changing some stuff, but to be honest if they were to drop some things they LU would also need RA's to actually enforce others, because whats a rule without discipline?
