Has anyone changed the passwords to LU social media accounts? It was pretty clear Jerry was the person behind some of those antagonistic messages now.

I know the board has an obligation to hold Jr accountable and I'm sure they heard things over the years that went unchecked. I'm concerned about those that were around Jr daily and turned a blind eye. I live in Cincinnati and have been removed from the daily happenings for years, but there has to be some consequences for those that allowed this to fester. I'm not looking for witch hunt, but surely the inner circle knew this stuff was happening.

I know for a fact this happened with the alcohol abuse issue. At the same time, some who I thought would have known were legitimately shocked.

That statement is exactly the kind professionalism I would expect from the board and from Jerry. Praying for everybody, the school, the board, Jerry and his family during this time. There are a lot of emotions involved here but at the end of the day I think we all just want the school to fulfill the purpose that Jerry Sr set for this school. I think this could be the first step in refocusing and seeing great growth in our school.

I didn't read it like that at all. It didn't appear any definitive future actions were decided at this time. I could be wrong though.

I don't think that statement means the search committee will be exclusively internal. Obviously somebody needs to select who is on it, and there is really no one else but the BOT to do that. My guess is it will be a mixture of board members and respected outsiders.

"Respected outsiders". Ah, this may be the rumor I've been hearing. Was just sent a text that said "former Sparky's assemble". I think the committee is just the Sparky alumni group. No worries...you all are in great hands with us.

Those who have been around here for a while will verify that for a period of time I had an up-close view of Junior.

With that said, I want to be extremely clear: This is always who Jr was. Becki probably even more so.

Yes, the public personality shift that you've all noted was real, but long before that it was clear to a lot of people working at LU that ethics were no longer in the way of doing business. Things became toxic (and frankly gross) from the moment Jerry Sr. was gone.

The board needs to fund a full audit of the university. Ignoring Jr's scandalous behavior, university resources have been used and abused for personal gain for years. Granda flew on the university jet how many times? I don't think looking for potentially criminal activity is out of the question either.

I was told almost a year ago, by someone who was really in the know, that things were worse than what people were aware of at the time ie. alcohol, decision-making, etc. In fact this particular person would not even talk to me on a school phone. They were afraid that the line could me monitored. Sad indeed.

While Trey has definitely benefited from his dad's position, by all accounts I've heard he actually treated people fairly well. I wouldn't feel right piling on him right now given his biggest sin looks to be being his father's son. If I'm wrong on that, please tell me.

Anyone think when we're allowed back for games we should have a welcome back day for everyone that has been disenfranchised over the years?

I do not say this to be mean, ugly, or disparaging. I genuinely feel bad and will continue to pray for Jr. and LU going forward. However, I always look for the humor in things, first and foremost. That being said, maybe at the first sporting event that fans are allowed to attend, someone might should bring a sign that says, "We just came to watch" I know if I was there as an opposing fan, I would. As an LU fan, I wouldn't embarrass myself.

The fact that he resigned, per the terms of his employment contract, means that he doesn't have to work the rest of his life. He probably never had to anyway, but we are talking big money. It was money well spent though.

Some, especially the media, are making too big of an issue of Jerry's relationship with President Trump. It's great that he has a relationship with the President of the United States
