I had a business partner who maneuvered around in the upper echelons of the church and he always had great stories to tell. When people are paid way more than they deserve, they'll jump through all kinds of hoops to maintain their image.
I don't think Jonathan would want to have both TRBC and LU.

Yeah your probably right.

Voddie Baucham Jr. it is then.

Wouldn't mind being known as the Christian Oxford of the west when it comes to high value for academia and research from a biblical prospective. Add developing the grad campus and leaving/making room for other school possibilities and facilities in the near future.

...and now we get the truest reflection of his character. It never was about LU or the faculty, staff, students, or alumni. It's been about Jerry Jr for some time now. He's worried about Jerry Jr and Jerry Jr ONLY.

I want to make a joke about making sure we have arson insurance on all the campus buildings because of Sr.’s words many years ago about burning the place to the ground. But Now is not the time. I am sick to my stomach and honestly at a loss for words. We knew a lot of this stuff was going on. We didn’t have proof though and there was that little part of me who wanted to believe it was just awful rumors. I knew better. A lot of us did. It’s why I became so critical of the university leadership. Some of you owe a lot of people apologies on this board for things that have been said over the years because we disagreed with you. Mostly I’m sad because The university I love is getting destroyed by every media outlet in the country. This will have long and lasting affects that may not end for years from now. One of the trustees married my wife and I and was our pastor for awhile. I messaged him this morning and told him I’m praying for him. I’m praying for the Falwell family. I’m praying for the university. Cause honestly that’s all I know I can do at this point. Hope for a better tomorrow and pray. I’m not going to try and Jesus Juke this conversation because I think it’s been surprisingly constructive for a lot of us. It just makes me sad that it’s taken this much to change minds here on the board.

I am sure the school will be fine, there are so many great people there that God continued to use even while all of this is going on. That will continue to happen even if it'll take years to recover.

@ballcoach15 you said that everything would be back to normal in 6 months. You have been very naive about the whole situation. So I say it again, your opinion is null and void.

I'm just glad we can move on. I pray we follow God's will and I believe our greatest days are ahead.

Philippians 3:13-14
You also said this was all fake news and Junior would be back running the joint in a very short period of time. You unquestioningly back the guy and buy every line you’re given but then cast him aside like yesterday’s newspaper.
Then throw a Jesus Juke in at the end. The depths you go to in striving to maintain 0 credibility is truly amazing

What I don't get is earlier yesterday he claimed that this was some kind of planned sabbatical and now he was put on leave due to pressure from "self righteous people". Which is it?

Just a crazy day yesterday all around.

And we still are not 100% sure he has resigned. At this point it seems like the Board feels he is gone but Junior feels he’s staying. Junior is going to end up as LU’s Milton Waddams

"If they want to let me go because of a picture showing my belly on the internet, that's not a school I want to be a part of."

Wow. He is a mess.

Yeah, just so many ridiculous statements in that article. Then there is this:

“Nobody else could have built it from zero when my dad died into a $4 billion school.”

I give Jr a ton of credit for what he was able to accomplish but this is iust a ridiculous thing to say. He isn't going quietly and sadly, i doubt this is the last we hear about it. What a mess. If only there had been people pointing out these warning signs for years. Oh wait a minute...

Yeah, it is just kind of sad. I was hopeful at the beginning of the day when I was told he had resigned. I was pleasantly surprised but then the rest of the day was just one crazy roller coaster ride I would never want to ride. The lies just continue and we will never know what the full truth is.

Once the allure of the sex scandals fade attention will turn to the financial mismanagement. That is the kind of thing that ends with indictments, just ask Steve Bannon.

Example - How would the IRS view flying the president's wife's lover on a jet to the Falwell home for their extracurricular activities if that is proven to be true?

"During my work shift at the Fontainebleau Hotel in March 2012, I was chatting with some girls my age (20 at the time)," Granda told POLITICO. "Becki said, 'Those girls don’t know what they’re doing, you need someone with more experience.'"

After chatting, Granda said, Becki suggested they go to a hotel room.

"And then she goes, 'But one thing.' And I'm like, "Okay.' And she's like, 'My husband likes to watch.' And just then he comes out and he's wearing a Speedo."
Like many suspected, this suggests the pool boy isn't anywhere close to the only person they've done this with. They had a full on either swinger or hotwife lifestyle.
