The weather models have been pretty awful (even the Euro) this winter dealing with the southern stream. Everyone I've seen so far has been showing something for western NC, eastern TN, most of VA and parts of MD for Tuesday/Wednesday. I read the article... not sure what they mean by "potent." I would take potent to mean snow ranges in the 9-12"+ range and I'm not sure that's going to happen at this point. One things for sure... the cold is here and is going to be reinforced at least twice over the next two weeks.

Absolutely. Back in the day when they used to actually cover weather and they had real met's they were pretty solid. Now they are too tied up in programming and special interests. Not only that, but most large scale weather media outlets are about 4 - 5 hours behind with the changes in forecasts. Much better to find a smaller meteorologist that dabbles in social media and gives updates on new model runs as they become available.
