I opened the door and hail was coming down. I figured I'd stay inside til the "severe" part of the storm passed through.

man, the wind finally calmed down so I went out to check on my windows and the back window in my truck was open pointed right against the direction the rain was coming. That freaking sucks.

It's been rough here in WV. Last night as I was driving back in to town, it felt like I was headed in to a different world...I've only ever seen skies that dark in movies.

Just hope you didn't pass by any banjo strumming natives hanging along a bridge.

TD is in the Parkersburg area; it and Huntington are dueling banjo free zones.

I saw it one time here in Lynchburg when a hurricane (or a really bad tropical storm, cant remember if it had been downgraded yet) came through. It was sunny then in a mere matter of seconds the sky was black, not really dark, but black.

TD, just be careful if you cross the river: that side of Ohio has more dueling banjos than...say...Franklin County, VA. :nono

The farthest I'm willing to go is Marietta and Belpre. Otherwise, look out--Ohio has some serious country.

My brother lives in Marietta. If you need paint, go see him at Marietta Paint & Supply. He'll be the guy that looks like Jim Varney. Tell him Cider sent you.

Pretty impressive downpour about 615 in the burg...complete with pea-sized hail. No light or sound show with it, though.

The one shortly after noon was pretty good too. I think it may have lasted longer though.

the random storms today were ridiculous. it was sunny, then storming so bad my satellite went out, then back sunny again.
then the hail came through and left all while i was in walmart. it was sunny when i went in and sunny when i left.

No kidding...I got into Wal-Mart (seriously) right before the heavens opened...it sounded like golf balls pounding on the roof in the store.
