Hey, I was there right around then. Maybe 10 or 15 minutes after you. They actually were just putting out the rice as I ordered.

LUconn wrote:I've got to say, other than terrible location, the one on 221 most likely failed because of who was running the place. They were very often rude, had friends "hanging out", goofing off with other coworkers, etc. It was not a place I liked going. I went to the Rustburg location last night and it wasn't that bad, but the people I dealt with were not nice at all. Like they were doing me a favor or something by taking my order. They need to nip that before it degenerates into the previous situation. They need to do whatever Chickfila is doing because those folks are overly nice.
I heard health code violations put that place under, or am I remembering the wrong place?
I overheard the owner of the Timberlake and Rustburg locations saying recently that when he expressed serious interest in opening franchises at these locations, he told Bojangles that he wouldn't pull the trigger unless the 221 location closed.

had my first bojangles experience today. got the bacon egg and cheese bicuit which wasn't bad, but the hardees version is much better. however, the cinnamon biscuit was freaking awesome.

I've still never had a cinnamon biscuit from Bojangles, and I've been eating there since 1980.

regardless the amount of food i've ever had as part of my main meal, i can ALWAYS find room for 2 cinnamon biscuit at the end.

Having a bit of Northerner in me, I need to get in touch with my Southern side. You could always get something like a fruit cup; isn't that kind of classy?

I'm there, and have room for 3 more in my UVa Jeep. PM me know if you need a ride. Leaving from the lower gated Religion lot at 12:10.

Since I live in Popeyes land, what do you guys recommend I go with off of the expansive Bojangles menu?

Either the Cajun Filet Biscuit or the Supreme's meal, with seasoned fries and an Iced Tea. And a Cinnamon or Bo-Berry Biscuit on the side as a desert.

If you like white meat, you can't go wrong with the 3 piece dinner--breast & 2 wings. Dirty rice is a must for a side item. Then top it off with a sweet potato pie for dessert! And wash it all down with some sweet tea.

I had to swing by for a biscuit combo today. Wish I'd gone with a large size. They seem to have worked out most of the kinks of late -- I was able to get there, swing through the drive thru and be back home within 15 minutes.

Sly got the 3 piece white (breast & 2 wings) with dirty rice and 3 biscuits--regular, cinnamon, and bo berry. But I'll let him write the review of what he thought of the food & atmosphere.
