Love that there will be an amphitheater but at some point in the future, this would be neat too.
This would be a great make out spot. But would be ultimately ruined by cheesy proposals over the year

Cider Jim wrote:Ours will likely be smaller than UVa's and Richmond's, but ours will be far nicer than both: LU's cut granite slabs for seating vs. UVa's and Richmond's concrete seating. Plus, LU's will have a view of Liberty Lake nearby.
yes but ours has a much better view of roof-mounted HVAC units.

Richmond's has all those stupid trees in the way.

BEEJAY is on line 3... he says you're being purposefully obtuse.

You forgot to mention views of the tallest bell tower in the Western Hemisphere!

Medic, I know it's been a while since you've had a math class, but > means "greater than." :fineprint
Doesn't mean you can't see it

man going by the construction cams "Drenchburg" has lived up to it's rep lately

thats gotta be killing the schedule for those guys

I don't see how they get everything done in 2 weeks til the kids come back

*On a completely unrelated note what is the big leveled out pad area over near the tennis complex/LCA fields? Is that where the indoor turf/practice bubble is going? Saw it in the overhead pix they put up but hard to tell whats going on.

the 1st 7th and 8th floor of commons aren't finished yet and freshman move in is in two days. I was video-chatting with a group of freshman last night and one girl was in her room in commons but she said a few outlets weren't working yet.

Video 'chatting' with a girl alone in her room. Hmmmmm

JakeP50 wrote:Nothing like that, and there were also 7 people in this group chat. Besides I'm to awkward to be video chatting with a girl I've never met in person.
7 people?
And according to PA you never want to meet those people in real life

Great article in today's paper about LU's new 9-story dorm.
Students begin moving into new Liberty University dorm
Jessie Pounds
As early-bird students arrived at Liberty University’s newest, biggest dorm Wednesday, the parking lot was a scene of frenetic activity.

Passing a maze of machinery and yellow-vested construction workers, Sophomore Courtney Seiler expressed enthusiasm for her new home.

“It’s beautiful,” she said. “There’s lots of spots just to hang out with people, which is cool.”

Today is the official freshman move-in day at Liberty, including the new 270,000-square-foot “Commons I” dorm.

I drove 'over' awards road on the way back from Roanoke. Holy smokes it was a solid line of traffic stop light to stop light. I'll miss seeing it for the next few months.
