Where are these “sounds” emanating from?

I'll believe it when I see it but I sure hope this is the case.

My statement was not meant to question @jinxy in any way. It just that things have been left unchecked for so long that i am believe it when I see it kind of mode at this point. I sure hope he is right.

I agree Jinxy. This has gotten the attention of a lot of people that heretofore have been blind (willingly or unwillingly) to the situation.
Now if it comes to gonad cutting time, no telling what will actually happen.
Personally, I would like to see Jr. own up 100% to his shortcomings, take a significant time for spiritual reflection/renewal and come back to the university in a senior advisory role. We definitely need a new public face for the university and time is not our friend.
Whatever happens, or doesn't happen, I am diligently praying for a positive outcome for all involved. Hopefully we will all do the same. I believe we are at the crossroads, that will determine the long term health of LU.

I never thought it’d happen. They got a spine who knew.

I know it sounds crazy but I would totally be for Gill as president, like Jim Tressel. He loves Liberty and has done so much.

The wording tells me he has probably been given a course of action he needs to complete to be restored, which IMHO is as it should be. Too early I think to talk about a permanent replacement, but someone will need to be in charge in the interim.

If that's the case I certainly hope his social media activity will be curbed if not completely deleted.

I fell pretty confident in saying he will be totally "off the grid".
Possibly counseling and/or rehab.

If he truly has an alcohol problem, I hope he gets the help he needs. Jerry is a brilliant man and was great to me personally. He’s been corrupted by power and money and by all accounts has no active walk with Jesus. This does one of two things:

It allows him to fix a life that’s been broken and he can return in some form of advisory role

It allows the school to move on from someone who is no longer qualified to hold the position of president.

For his sake, I hope it’s the first. I’d love to see a story of redemption that can only be explained by God’s grace and power.

I knew it was coming because the people i heard what i mentioned today have been quiet in the past. Not so today.

My understanding is a restoration plan is being developed which i think is the right way personally but it will be stringent. The action today was to get in front before he had time to do more damage. Alcohol is suspected but to my knowledge he has not admitted it as of this am.

I pray that he will listen reflect and allow God to do a work in his life.

It's been clear for quite some time his heart wasn't with Liberty it was with politics, Liberty was just his vehicle. I personally hope we move on with a fresh face at the helm but if Jerry is restored, like you mentioned, I hope he is on a tighter leash.

I really think some of you are getting ahead of things. I see nothing to indicate this is permanent. If he would accept it (he's got his hands full with what he's doing now) I would love to see Franklin Graham as interim President. If a permanent change is made, there is someone else I think would be great.
