At this point I just want somebody to announce it. My family is coming up for graduation (They've only been up to Lynchburg I think 3 times total while Ive been here). I just hope its not a politician...I think we've all had our fill of those for the time being.

He's not exactly a well known face outside of the city of Suffolk, VA so I dont think that would resonate too well with the students.

Well, Chuck Norris was our #2 selection, from what I heard. We originally announced Laura Bush, but she backed out because her daughter (the party one) was getting married that weekend. Then we had to scramble for Walker Texas Ranger.

I'm not sure what "scrambling" is to you. I'm not trying to be rude, I'm serious. Yes last year LB fell through but JLFjr did ask the students who'd they'd like to have and he made that happen...scrambling IMO would be if they asked for Chuck but that fell through, asked again, that fell through and they end up picking whoever was free.

Chuck was who they wanted and they delivered on that.

Maybe I'm splitting hairs but I dont think they ever "scramble" here...the black book of important people they know is to deep to ever scramble....if this was LC I'd be worried!
