And since you'll be living off of Timberlake, visit the new T-room (after Bojangles first) just off of Greenview Drive (big white 2-story building on the left).

And if you want to order like a local, just say this: "a western, a hot, and a bowl."

My way would still be quicker because you can either take 29 by pass to 460 or 29 B to 501/ Campbell

No wonder you have problems finding players! :D <zing>

I am "mr. mom" and my schedule is irregular... but if you need anything feel free to give me a call. I'll send you a PM.

It is funny you guys mentioned the Texas Inn because that was my first thought as well. Although Bojangles & Cookout are right there with them. I would avoid taking your wife to the original Texas Inn (T-Room) unless you want to scare her home to Cali.

If you'll be on or near Timberlake and you want a true taste of the South, go to BOJANGLES for your first meal--chicken, biscuits, dirty rice, sweet tea, and a sweet potato turnover for dessert.
Or, skip the turnover and find one of a dozen frozen yougurt shops in town, the closest probably being Bloop in Wynhurst.
I am pretty sure the Bloop in Wyndhurst is closed. I think it may be re-opening in Cornerstone (near the new T-room). I know the Bloop in Candlers Mtn is still open..we were just there this week.

Thanks for all of your tips. We won't be driving a U-Haul. We are having all of our stuff shipped ahead of us.

Currently our route has us taking 460 into town.

We ship our stuff tomorrow and leave town next Sunday, after church. Appreciate any prayers for a safe trip.

NOOOOOOO!!!!!

But seriously, thanks for the offer. We'll be in town around the 10th and hopefully should get our stuff delivered around that time sometime. Extra hand always helps. Or just an extra dose of sarcasm.

I disagree take 64 into Lexington/Buena Vista . You will have 6 miles of winding roads later but are fine. What you DONT want to do is take 501 when it splits right at the bottom of the mountain because that is crazy. Just keep going and you will end up in a place called Madison Heights. From there you are good to go on 29 South.
BTW, 2 houses just went up for sale in our area and a 3rd could be had for a song. If you want to live where the real folks do you should check it out
So what constitutes the difference between real and fake folk other than location of one's abode?

Don't be freaked out if one lands on you though like I was when I turned my head one day and one of them was on my shoulder staring me in the face!

On another cicada note, has anyone ever eaten one? I hear dogs will gorge on these things to the point where they will eat themselves sick and that bears like them so much that they practically consider them to be a desert sent from heaven. Obviously these two species must know something I don't know.

Nice! The location on the other side of town has always been so far out of the way. I'll have to try to make it over there to the Greenview location next time I'm in town.

And I'm sure Sentence 2 has nothing to do with Sentence 1 :D

And I will make work fun. It's what I do!
