Because Jerry Falwell never believed in breaks (hence why we never got Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day) and thus, continuing his legacy, Liberty remains open.

Oh yeah, the Hillcats are playing tonight and I'm working...and since I'm 21, there's no going home early for me tonight.

maybe their reasoning behind it is because they had their celebration this past Sunday, its really the only think I can think of....I worked for Liberty this time last year and I got time and a half on July 4th, so I didn't complain

Personally it's not that big of a deal....I am going to play golf with Smoothie here in a few minutes...Thank God they are not closed....

i'll have to say that i am NOT down with having class today.

however, thank God ledo's was open. it overrides the terrible thought of having to be in class and at work on a holiday.

most of the physical plant workers (grounds, painting, house keeping, maintenance) at LC had to work today, including me. LC doesn't like having manual labor folk all off on one day for some reason.
