When scrolling through espn to find LU's games without my glasses I have difficulty distinguishing between Lamar and LU.

I don't remember quite when it was, but a number of years ago this became a trend with a number of universities... they needed to go after other institutions "infringing" on their copyright/Trademark. Liberty had moved AWAY from "LU" because they didn't own the trademark... but then it was discovered that no one did. We promptly filed for it ourselves. It was a good move.
