We've really seen JLFJR come into his own more and more as the years have gone by. we are seeing people fron Sr's era slowly work their way out (through retirement or resignation) and now he is getting the people he wants, but its not him making these decisions in a vacuum

Unless they have changed things at Lakewood very recently, I don't get the Osteen connection.

But I do like this set-up even though it drives those of us from the media perspective nuts to produce.

Doing things in the round works so much better for big productions. It allows you to use the whole stage and get more people in the arena to see it. It's a bit more work from a tech standpoint, but it's overall better.
