I am wondering about the association with Centra. Centra also has a Residency Program as well, so I hope they can hammer out the details with them. CVFP would also be a good Partner. I think it is a very smart move to put the clinic where they did. As odd as it sounds,mot will be more inviting for people in the community located where it is now. They mentioned a sliding fee scale so it makes me wonder if they are going to be Fee For Service or are they going to take Insurance. If so, will they be taking Medicaid Plans and ACA Plans

Sounds to me like they will be doing something similar to the Community Service Boards, ie: accept Medicaid and other insurance when the patient has it and charge a sliding fee based on income when they don't.

Didn't even know they owned the Northern Tool space. Actually didn't even know Northern Tool was no longer open. That's a good spot, Physician's Treatment Center is always slammed. I stopped going there when I needed to go to the doctor because I got tired of waiting for ages.

That's my question. The support staff needed to process Medicaid claims is greater than with Private Insurance. It's why there are only 3 or so Primary Care places that accept it

If it is closed, it was very recent and without warning. I was there two weeks ago. It may be another example of poor journalism... Perhaps they meant "former site of Harris Teeter."

A long, long time ago...not just in Lynchburg, but in Appomattox and Farmville too. Most got converted to Krogers, which has now actually bought out Harris Teeter.

There were several H-T back in the day. In Boonsboro and the Waterlick plaza as well as next to Kmart. May have been another one or two, can't recall. Kroger bought the stores in the late '90's or early 2000's.

We have a Kroger and a Harris Teeter within about 4 blocks of each other and a Kroger Marketplace recently opened near my house with another one set to open in December

Don't remind me...I miss VA Beach (H-T, Farm Fresh, Starbucks and a bank all essentially within one block...plus Buffalo Wild Wings, local bakery, local brew pub and CVS on the first floor of my apartment building and right across the street from the beach and King Neptune park).

Now back on topic...how about that new primary care clinic and the need for paramedic units on campus?

My kids watch this show on MeTV. They really like all the old stuff, and are pretty obsessed with CHiPs at the moment. But, I mean, who wouldn't be, you get at least one car flip every episode and everything explodes on contact.
