Cessna plant in Independence delivers 10,000th single-engine aircraft

Textron Aviation’s Independence production plant for its Cessna Aircraft Co. division has delivered its 10,000 single-engine aircraft. Liberty University was the customer on the milestone delivery, one of three Cessna Skyhawks it took possession of this week to bolster its growing flight training fleet.

Cessna first began delivering aircraft out of the Independence facility in June 1996.
