Liberty welcomes Robert Mullen as new dean of students

Liberty University has named Robert Mullen, former senior pastor at Shenandoah Baptist Church in Roanoke, Va., as its new dean of students. Mullen replaces Keith Anderson, who now serves as the director of student health records.

I'm not saying Director of Student Health Records isn't an important job, but isn't that a step or 2 down from Dean of Students?

I think the position change for Pastor Anderson is more so he can take care of his church, and less a byproduct of the situation leading to Dr Godwin's resignation/removal/whatever you want to call it. He was actually pretty good in the Dean's Office (personally Im glad that it wasn't someone within the dean's office promoted to the position)

I think you may have hit on it BJ. Being Dean of students while pastoring a church would be pretty tough (although a certain diminutive Irishman did a pretty good job of it back in my day).

He was the pastor of my church before he was Dean... Loved Dobson!
