I hate slimy sleazy unethical egomaniacal 'business' people who cloak themselves in an Evangelical cape.
Godwin thinks what's best for him IS best for the Institution. Yes, every business needs a 'hatchet man' and that's been Godwin's role for years. But you should keep them on a chain, and use sparingly. Not let them run the place.
I have no problem with Reber doing what he did. But saying 'one person might get saved through a old Bible Program is a horrible justification. You're in business. How much are you going to spend on advertising for just 1 person? What about the negative effects of this? It 'might' save 1 but how many did it turn away? As a business person, its sorta bad to run a campaign that turns more people away than it attracts.
Your dealings with Godwin are by far the exception, not the rule. As for his ability to run the Academic side....it's hard to run something populated by people you disdain.
