I don't think end of the show where they are bowing to give thanks for their food is scripted. I believe that is really a part of who they are. I mean tell me the last time you heard on a reality show when Si told every one the three things he takes every time he leaves home is his drinking cup, a gallon of tea and his bible.

So the two things I got out of this thread are that SJ seems to know these guys personally and most people still haven't caught on that all these reality shows are scripted.

My wife is almost finished reading their book talking about where the family came from, how they operate, etc. It talks about most of that stuff in there.

A guy I work with saw Willie speak at a school a few weeks ago and said Willie acknowledged that some of the scenes on the show are set up but they are based off of things that actually happened and none of the dialogue is scripted.

Remember that improv show, where the comedians were given a scenerio, and they had to try and make it funny and exciting? Of course they're not given lines to read, but it's the same thing.

Even if it is scripted, it's nice to see a family gathered around the table praying together. Can't go wrong with that. It sure beats the rest of the filth that's on TV.

I agree that I don't care if it's scripted. I don't look at it as "reality" TV. I just look at it as a funny show that reflects some pretty solid Christian values.
